Best Of Himachal Pradesh

Popularly known as the Devbhumi ­– "Land of the Gods", Himachal Pradesh is a beautiful hill state in northern India nestled in western Himalayas. The state is landlocked with the Tibetan plateau to the east, Jammu and Kashmir to the north, and the Punjab to the west. However the state stands apart from its neighbours in terms of its sheer topographic diversity and breathtaking pristine natural beauty. From vast tracts of high-altitude Trans-Himalayan desert to dense green deodar forests, from apple orchards to cultivated terraces, from snow capped high Himalayan mountain ranges to snow fed lakes and gushing rivers.

Day 1 : Delhi - Chandigarh (250 KMS/ 6HR).

On arrival met at the aiport/railway station and drive to Chandigarh. on arrival Check in Hotel. After noon visit to Rock garden and other sightseeing spot. Overnight stay at Hotel.


Day 2 : Chandigarh - Dalhousie (318 KMS/8HR).

Morning after Breakfast, drive to Dalhousie. on arrival check in Hotel. Dalhousie was established in 1854 by the British Governor General Lord Dalhousie. Built around five hills Dalhousie is clothed in stately groves of deodar and oak. Its marvelous forests trails overlook vistas of wooded hills, waterfalls, spring and rivulets. Dalhousie still has a touch of the “Raj” and its colonial style building and houses bring back the flavors of an earlier era. Overnight stay at Hotel.


Day 3 : Dalhousie - Chamba - Khajjiar - Dalhousie(52 KMS each side)

Morning after breakfast proceed to Chamba enroute visiting Khajjair. Located at the center of the sloping meadows is a small bog like pond into which water from the surrounding meadows and forests drains. Khajjiar was probably a glacial bowl formed during the last Himalayan ice age and left with a lake that gradually withered away. Khajjiar is part of the notified Kalatop – Khajjiar sanctuary. The Monal Pheasant, a bird which was fairly common till recent times has become relatively difficult to spot nowadays. Return to Dalhousie. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 4 : Dalhousie - Dharamshala (150 KMS / 5 HRS).

After breakfast you will be transferred to Srinagar, a unique city known for its lakes dotted with Shikaras and the Mughal Gardens (94 kms/3-4 hrs). Arrive and transfer to your deluxe houseboat by a Shikara. This afternoon you will visit the famous Mughal gardens, Shalimar, Nishat & Chashmeshahi gardens known for its beautiful land scrapings and water fountains. Evening is at leisure, overnight at the hotel.


Day 5 : Dharamshala - Manali (235 KMS / 7HR).

Morning after breakfast drive to Manali. on arrival check in at the Hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel.


Day 6 : Manali (Half day local sightseeing).

Morning after breakfast you may take a walking tour of Manali, visiting the 450 years old temple dedicated to Hadimba Devi, which has some excellent woodcarving. You also visit the Vashisht Bath, Jagat Sukh Tibetan Monastery and the handicraft center. The rest of the day at leisure OR walk to the nearby picturesque village of Vashisht known for its hot sulphur springs. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 7 : Manali (Half day local sightseeing).

This morning you visit the Solang Valley and the not to be missed Rohtang Pass, 51 km from Manali at an altitude of 3978 meters (subject to weather conditions). Overnight stay at Hotel.


Day 8 : Manali - Shimla (270 KMS / 8 HR).

Morning after breakfast drive to Shimla. on arrival check in at the Hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel.


Day 9 : Shimla.

Full day local sight i.e. Kufri, Fagu, Naldhera, Mashobra and back Shimla. Overnight stay at Hotel.


Day 10 : Shimla - Delhi (370 KMS / 8 HR).

Morning after breakfast back to Delhi. On arrival transfer to Railway Station / Airport time to catch train/ flight for onward destination.
